Over 80 Years Of Tradition In Martial Arts In 1914, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu champion Esai Maeda migrated to Brazil, where he was instrumental in establishing a Japanese immigrant community. His efforts were aided by Gastão Gracie, a Brazilian scholar and politician of Scottish descent. As a statement of his gratitude for Gracie's assistance, Maeda taught the Brazilian's oldest son Carlos the essential secrets of the ancient martial arts technique. Renzo has his own approach to the art that his family has spent many years developing from it¹s original forms as brought to them early on. Today we have the opportunity to be a part of the new era of this art called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Renzo Gracie is a lifelong practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and a member of the legendary Gracie family from Brazil. He is the son of Robson Gracie, grandson of Carlos Gracie, nephew of Carlos Gracie, Jr. and grand-nephew of Helio Gracie. Renzo's brothers Ralph and the late Ryan Gracie are also famous fighters.

Alan Teo and Jamal Patterson are two of but a very small handful of Jiu Jitsu practitioners who have attained the rank of Black Belt under Renzo Gracie. Both Alan and Jamal have been fortunate to train with some of the best fighters in the world and have both competed at National and International competitions. They look forward to sharing the art as it has been taught to them by the Gracie family.
